Sorry I didn't post last month. I know how much you all rely on this news page for all of your entertainment needs and am absolutely ashamed of myself for letting you down. I shall surely be turned into peanut butter and mixed not with jelly or chocolate, but with pickles.
At any rate, there is quite a bit of news this month. First of all, yours truly will be performing with the Camelot Academy Rock Ensemble on Thursday, May 5 for the Durham Arts Council. The Camelot Academy Rock Ensemble are a three piece band made up of three students at the school who have invited me to be a guest vocalist and play the theremin as they play two of my songs (True, Man in the Moon) and one of their own. This is unfortunately not open to the public, but wish me luck.
Next is the really big news. EVIL WIENER MAY 21 LOCAL 506.
Our first show since the birth of Groves' son Otto will be a benefit for Dave Schmidt and has been appropriately titled "Bene-Schmidt"
Other acts on the bill are:
DEXTER ROMWEBER & FRIENDS / THE GHOST OR ROCK/ COUNTDOWN QUARTET / JULE BROWN / JOHN HOWIE (from $2 Pistols) / KILLER FILLER
Finally, on May 28, yours truly will perform a solo set in support of the intrepid Work Clothes. This set is sure to include the usual cast of singing bottles, theremin, acoustic guitar and maybe even some costumes and pre-recorded wierdness. It will also include a bunch of new songs that most of you have never heard before. This will be at Evil Wiener's home...THE CAVE.
Hope to see you all soon.
